On mainland Portugal there are several parishes across different municipalities that begin with the name Vila Nova, including Vila Nova da Barquinha, Vila Nova de Cacela, Vila Nova de Gaia, and Vila Nova de Paiva. Some municipalities/councils also begin with the name Vila Nova.
